One could use the newsletter as a good introductory resource about the class and yourself as the teacher. My main goal behind using the newsletter would be to communicate to parents what is happening in the classroom at a glance. Eventually I would like to have a classroom website as my main communication with a Parents. Monthly newsletter to parents would also help to cover those parents who do not have internet to make sure that they get the information that they need.The newsletter format would also be great to use for students as a summary of what they did in their portfolio of work for the semester.
